Conservation Awards:
Mike Kilgore received the award from the noted nonprofit last October for his work as chair of the Lessard-Sams Outdoor Heritage Council, a Minnesota Legislature advisory body. The 49-year-old Mora, Minn., native is one of 12 people, (eight citizens and four legislators,) in charge of “restoring, protecting, and enhancing Minnesota’s wetlands, prairies, forests, and habitat for fish, game, and wildlife” according to the state of Minnesota.
